the split that spread! (2019). Polyurethane foam, bio-epoxy, cement, iron oxide, agar agar, acrylic, mild steel, flask clamps, mini projector with animation on loop.

The remnants of a split, caused by a water leak from under an embankment, has made its way to 1307 Argyle Street,  G3 8TL. Scanned one year apart, these works are based on two images of one innoculated petri dish at different points n its decomposition. The initial sample was sourced from what is likely a bacterial an/ or algal biofilm formation found near the Forth and Clyde Cana, Glasgow.  As a result, various agents develop and multiply within the gallery space whilst leaving remnants behind.
